Latoya N. Dickens RN-BC, MSN, FNP, ACNP-BC 

I have been in nursing for 15 years, and an NP for 10 years.  

Education: BSN from University of Akron 2000. MSN from Malone University 2006.  Currently a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) student at Walsh.  

Family Nurse Practitioner Certification form AANP. Ambulatory Care Certification through ANCC.  Acute Care Nurse Practitioner 2014 Kent State University Certification from ANCC 

Currently employed as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Lifecare Family Health & Dental Center, Adjunct Faculty at the Aultman College of Nursing and Health Science. Correctional Health Care for Stark County jail.   SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) nurse for Aultman Hospital Serenity Program (provide health assessments are care for victims of rape and domestic violence). Appointed to be the Fetal Infant Mortality Review (FIRM) coordinator for Stark County Health Department from 2015 to 2017. 

Volunteer work includes working in the community with the Aultman WOW van.  Also work with the Pregnancy Support Center as a nurse practitioner focusing on Women’s Health and early prenatal care. I am also a volunteer for stark county Big Brothers/Big Sisters. Member of the Mary Church Terrell Club Stark County Chapter.  

Community involvement: board member for the Prescription Assistance Network (PAN), board member of ABCD INC, member of Y-Stark (chair for the 20 under 40 2015 event),  

Awards: 2018 Women in Health Car Award Lenzy Family Institute. 2017 Malone University Graduate School Alumna of the Year Award, 2017 National Black Nurses Under 40 award. 2016 Recipient of the Dehoff Emerging Young Philanthropist Award by United Way of Stark County. 20Under40 member of the 2013 class
